Keep the Light On

This is as all my landscape work ,it is intended as a Meditational piece. i visited Rattray Head Light, Peterhead,in the first week of Jan 2020,it was down a very long country road that then i had to turn down a very inaccessible 2 mile dirt road that nearly took out my rented campervan...i arrived at the lighthouse parking and then had to walk several hundred yards over dunes to get to the beach where i could set up my tripod ...once setting up i realized i had dropped a ND filter that was vital for the image in my head..mad scramble back over the dunes and found it in the sand ...back again to the beach..now time was running out ..the tide was coming in fast and i had about 30 mins of available daylight to get my image get back to my van and to navigate the treacherous road back to the main road ...i wanted to do a long exposure image but the wind was insane and the tripod was shaking...i took several images and all were not working ....and then by divine intervention the photography gods granted me a very short window of no wind and at that very moment the lighthouse light came on...this was the very last image i took and it was everything i wished for and more .....i rushed back to my campervan...it started to rain i navigated to road back and when i got back to the hotel i was staying in for the night i downloaded the images and was overjoyed with this ....the adventures that i have to get my work are so wonderful.
